I have been singing since elementary school where I presented concerts before school and during lunch on the steps outside of Logan Elementary School in Columbia, SC.
 
Since that time, I have performed in dinner theaters, community theater productions, sang in groups, performed at women's retreats, entertained for senior citizens, and led children's choirs and creative arts programs.
 
Some of my community theater performance roles include:

• Julie in Showboat

• Widow Corny in Oliver

• Bloody Mary in South Pacific

• Vi in Footloose

• Jack's mother in Into the Woods

• Cast soloist in Camelot

• Mary, the mother of Jesus in Easter2K at Williams Brice Stadium

• Numerous "Reviews" at Town Theater

 
I had the pleasure of appearing in more than a hundred church-related adult and children's musicals as a soloist and drama cast member and served as the Director of Drama ministry at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce, SC, for more than 10 years.
 
Other activities include:

• Red Stockings Revue soloist and cast member for 15 years

• Featured entertainment for the Red Hat Club of the Upstate

• Featured entertainment for the Joy Club

• A member of the Columbia College Hi Cs and choir

• Voice scholarship recipient at Columbia College where I studied voice under Lanny Palmer, former President of the Columbia Opera Guild

• A member of the Columbia College Opera Scenes, directed by internationally acclaimed Sydney Palmer
